Slovenia's Maja Vtic sensationally ended the winning streak of Japanese ski jumping star Sara Takanashi on Saturday in front of her home crowd. The 28-year-old Vtic claimed her first World Cup win after a tight duel with Takanashi, 19, who had come into the event on a run of ten straight wins. Vtic scored 267.7 points after two jumps with Takanashi scoring 263.2 in the 13th round of the World Cup calendar. Another local hope Spela Rogelj took third place with 258.7. With 11 wins in 12 competitions, Takanashi had been bidding to beat her own record of 15 wins set in the 2013-14 season. It was the second runners-up spot for Takanashi this season, although moves her closer to a third overall World Cup title.
