Wahlberg: Kids say I’m a bore

Mark Wahlberg's kids think his job is "boring".

The 42-year-old star plays real-life Hospital Corpsman First Class Marcus Luttrell in war movie Lone Survivor, which follows SEAL Team 10's failed 2005 mission Operation Red Wings.

While shooting the feature, Mark was able to meet with the man he was portraying. During their discussions the actor realised how grateful he was to have his four children and wife Rhea Durham on set with him - even if the little ones weren't impressed.

"It's really interesting to hear Marcus and other SEAL guys talk about when they go home to their families and they can't discuss what they do. It's just like trying to shut off what they just came from on some sort of mission, a special op, and then all of a sudden they're at home and they're taking their kids to school and they're helping their wives make dinner," Mark explained to Collider.

"But it's always comforting to have your family there, absolutely. They're here now, which is nice. I asked them if they wanted to come to work and they said, 'Daddy, your job is so boring. Absolutely not.'"

Mark and his co-stars - Eric Bana, Emile Hirsch and Taylor Kitsch - were treated like real soldiers during production of the movie.

By getting into the right mind-set Mark earned a great deal of respect for the SEAL Team

"I'm 42-years-old so... As a man, I don't want to sit on the bench; I want to be in the game. I always want the ball so you would think, but it's not a question of a physical ability," he explained.

"It really comes down to that mental toughness that I think sets those guys apart from a lot of other guys that can't get through the training and graduate."

If there's one car that's particularly sought-after among today's well-heeled car collectors, a Ferrari 250 would be it. Usually it's the GTO variant, like the 1963 that sold for a record $52 million last year. A 250 of any sorts demands unfathomable cash, however, which is why we can but gawk at this 250 Testa Rossa. It's as close as any mere mortal will ever come to owning one.
