From Digital Spy

AMC chief executive Sarah Barnett has suggested the possibility of exploring more stories within The Walking Dead universe could be "endless".

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Barnett opened up about the new TWD projects that are currently in the works, which include a second spin-off series, World Beyond, and a trilogy of feature-length films centring on Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).

On the possibility of developing even more shows and movies, Barnett said: “We’re plotting a lot more ambition for this,” she says. “I think there are endless stories to be told in this universe."

Despite the fact that World Beyond hasn't even started yet, we already know that it will be ending after just two seasons.

AMC recently confirmed that the show will be a limited series, describing it as a "two-season Walking Dead story" on social media.

The planned limited run is an interesting announcement that has led to people speculating if it will connect with the Rick Grimes movies more than previously expected.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere on Sunday, April 12 on AMC in the US. It will launch on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
