Since fall's arrival, Walmart has been planning ahead for the holidays. The unofficial start of the holiday shopping season, Black Friday typically draws long lines and enormous crowds at the big box retailer. While its customers can still expect major savings, Walmart's Black Friday is going to look a lot different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As opposed to one day of incredible deals, Walmart is spreading out traditional Black Friday savings to three events during the month of November. Each event will kick off online and continue into stores with new deals. And after sales start in stores, there will be new deals online during each event. The first event just kicked off with major savings on home and electronics!

What Customers Can Expect From Each Event

Event 1

Right now, you can save up to 30 percent on home. Plus, there are plenty of deals on toys and electronics. Some standout offers include a Samsung TV marked down from $549.99 $477.98 and an upright Shark vacuum marked down from $199 to $98. New deals will be available in Walmart stores on November 7 starting at 5 a.m. local time. There will also be new offers online on November 7 at 12 a.m. ET. Ahead, shop some of our favorite deals from the first Black Friday event.

Event 2

The second event will offer major saving on electronics, including TVs, computers, and tablets. It starts online on November 11 at 7 p.m. ET. New deals in store will start on November 14 at 5 a.m. local time, and online at 12 a.m. ET. On November 14, Walmart says it'll "host its biggest wireless phone event ever," with deals on iPhones and Samsung phones.

Event 3

During the final event, customers can expect to find deals on electronics, toys, gifts, across apparel, home, and seasonal décor. The event begins online on November 25 at 7 p.m. ET, and new deals will be available in store starting November 27 at 5 a.m. local time, and online at 12 a.m. ET.

Plan on shopping in stores? Amid the pandemic, Walmart plans to implement health and safety protocols for in-store shopping during the new events. Customers will be asked to form a straight, single line to enter the store. Employees will hand out sanitized shopping carts and remind customers to wear a mask. Inside, customers will be required to shop down the right-hand side of aisles to shop Black Friday deals.

Customers will also be able to score major savings outside of Walmart's Black Friday Deals for Days event. The retailer will plans to offer Rollbacks across every department throughout the season.
