Christian Lee Versus Iuri Lapicus

The co-main event of ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX features the ONE Lightweight World Champion defending his strap against the #1-ranked lightweight contender.

This will be the first time Lee defends his divisional gold since winning it from Japanese legend Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki in May 2019 at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON.

Lee is stepping into this bout with a record of 13-3. He’ll face the 14-0 Moldovan who’s finished every single one of his opponents – all but one of them in the first round.

“The Warrior” last competed in October 2019 against Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev in the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship Final, where he finished “Dagi” and earned the tournament belt.

In Lapicus’ last appearance, he dominated former ONE Featherweight World Champion Marat “Cobra” Gafurov, stopping him with a first-round rear-naked choke.

Key Storyline: Christian Lee Wants To Continue Divisional Reign

“The Warrior” will look to capitalize on a banner 2019 in The Home Of Martial Arts.

After knocking out Aoki to claim the belt and then defeating “Dagi” in dominant form on short notice, he’s looking to snuff out the #1-ranked lightweight contender and prove that he’s unquestionable ONE’s greatest lightweight.

It won’t be easy against Lapicus, who intends to keep his perfect record intact and finish yet another of the promotion’s elite athletes.

In the main event of ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX, two-division World Champion Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang will defend his ONE Middleweight World Title against top-ranked undefeated challenger Reinier “The Dutch Knight” De Ridder.

De Ridder is certain to be “The Burmese Python’s” biggest threat yet. After all, the man from the Netherlands is 12-0, with 11 of those victories coming by early finish.

If the man from Myanmar can overcome the Dutchman, he will continue his reign as the division’s king.

But if De Ridder gets a hold of the two-division World Champion, his submission skills could be enough to claim the belt.
