Watch: Video of pretty ustazah besieged by attentions of her pupils a hit on social media

KUALA LUMPUR: A video clip of a pretty primary school ustazah swamped by the loving attention of her students has gone viral on social media.

The one-minute-long video shows the photogenic teacher attempting to grade exercise books while being overwhelmed by her students’ affection, silly comments and horseplay as they crowd around her.

The kids, most likely Year One pupils, are also carrying on for the mobile phone camera, which has been placed squarely on the teacher’s desk.

Despite the tremendous distractions of her fractious students, the ustazah carries on her duties with poise (and an incredible level of patience).

The besieged teacher even manages to banter with her students, teasing them that she would leave the class if they continue to misbehave.

In response, one of the students says: "Teacher, you are cute!"

The teacher replies dryly: "Is that so?"

The video has been viewed an impressive 205,000 times as of today.

Netizens have cooed over the display, with some saying that the video is making them wish they could go back to school.

Facebook user King Saiful lamented that ustazahs during his time in school were “mostly old.”

Another said that if all teachers were like the ustazah, no student would fail their examinations. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
