SINGAPORE — Here is a round-up of sports events and developments in the past week (18-24 May):

AFF Suzuki Cup secures sponsorship with PINACO

The AFF Suzuki Cup, scheduled for November and December this year, has secured official sponsorship with Vietnam’s leading battery manufacturer, PINACO.

This marks the second Vietnamese company to commit to Southeast Asia’s premier football tournament, following Next Media’s acquisition of exclusive media rights to the tournament.

Both deals were brokered by Singapore-based Lagardere Sports, AFF Suzuki Cup’s exclusive commercial partner.

Ritual launches app offering daily HIIT workout

Singapore-based boutique gym Ritual has launched its Ritual Anywhere app on Friday (22 May). The app offers a fresh 20-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout every day, customised to the user’s fitness level and available equipment.

While an initial version of the app was available only to existing Ritual members, their positive response spurred its public launch to provide the wider community with an efficient, convenient and personalised exercise option during the COVID-19 pandemic period.

The app can be downloaded in both the IOS App Store and Google Play Store.

Lagardere Sports appointed WDSF media rights partner

Singapore-based Lagardere Sports is proud to announce its appointment as the regional media rights partner of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF).

With this agreement, the sports marketing agency will be able to sub-license and manage the distribution of certain WDSF media rights to third parties for broadcast in their respective territories through various transmission services such as free-to-air, pay-per-view and video-on-demand.

Content from this deal includes the 2019 Best of Dance Sports series, which features some of the biggest names from the 2019 WDSF World Breaking Championship in Nanjing, and the 12-episode 2019 WDSF Grand Slam Series featuring world-class teams in Standard and Latin dance categories.
