WFT's Ricky Seals-Jones leaves field on stretcher after scary collision with cameraman

A collision with a cameraman led to Washington Football Team tight end Ricky Seals-Jones leaving the field on a stretcher Sunday.

The incident occurred in the second quarter of Washington's 20-16 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles. Seals-Jones attempted to catch a pass in the end zone from quarterback Tyler Heinicke. Eagles defenders broke up the pass, and Seals-Jones, who was sprinting toward the right sideline in an effort to catch the ball, ran full-force into a sideline cameraman, who had no time to get out of the way.

Seals-Jones knocked the cameraman down, and both fell into another sideline staffer.

Seals-Jones' head appeared to collide with the camera and then the padded sideline wall as he fell to his back. The sideline staffer also fell into the wall, while the cameraman landed on his side. The sideline staffer stood up almost immediately, and the cameraman was eventually able to walk on his own to a round of applause from the Washington crowd.

Seals-Jones remained laying on his back and needed medical attention on the field. Washington's medical staff stabilized Seals-Jones on a stretcher, and he left the field on a cart.

The team ruled Seals-Jones out with a neck injury shortly after the collision. After the game, head coach Ron Rivera told reporters that Seals-Jones is "fine" and was up and walking during halftime.
