Here Is Why People Think The Apple Watch Is Coming To Singapore In June

Apple is gearing up to announce the second wave of countries to gain access to the Apple Watch in late June…and this time, odds are high that Singapore will make the ‘nice’ rather than ‘naughty’ list. While Apple has kept mum on the countries in which it plans to roll out the smartwatch, there’re a few signs that suggest Singaporeans’ wrists may soon be adorned with the hottest toy on the market.

As staunch fans of Apple might already know, two models of the Apple Watch are now listed on the Infocomm Development of Authority’s Equipment Search List. This was pointed out in a report by HardwareZone early this month, and strongly indicates an imminent launch of the two models, A1553 and A1554, in Singapore. A cross-reference with the Apple Support site reveals that these model numbers refer to the watch sizes — 38mm and 42mm respectively.

If you’re still not convinced (or just don’t want to get your hopes up), here’s another sign that points toward the coming of the Apple Watch. A few days ago, the Apple Store app on iOS was updated, and along with several long-awaited features like two-step authentication and Touch ID support, it seems that the app is now available for Singapore users. Local Apple users can now download the app, shop for Apple products and accessories…and “choose your favourite Apple Watch models” via the app.

Keep in mind that these are all still well within the realm of speculation — until Tim Cook actually announces the next wave of countries to be receiving the Apple Watch, there’s no way we can say for sure. But in the meantime, the odds are looking good, so go ahead and place your bets.
