Woman, 66, dies after being hit by car in Bukit Batok, driver arrested

A 66-year-old woman who was hit by a car in Bukit Batok on Thursday (10 January) morning has died of her injuries.

Yahoo News Singapore understands that she was crossing the road at the junction of Bukit Batok East Avenue 6 and Bukit Batok Street 21 when she was struck. The driver, a 29-year-old woman, was arrested for causing death by negligent act.

Police said they received a call about the incident at 10.45am. The injured woman was conveyed unconscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
