A woman in her 80s has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in a Surrey petrol station.

Police said the crash, which involved three vehicles and the pedestrian, happened at about 15:50 BST on Friday, at Sainsbury's petrol station in Water Lane, Farnham.

The woman's next of kin are aware, police said.

The force is appealing for witnesses and is asking for anyone with information to get in touch.

A passenger plane sustained major damage to its tail after being clipped by the wing of a larger plane on a taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, on September 10, according to airport officials and Delta Airlines.In a statement, Delta Airlines said the incident happened around 10:07 am when an Airbus A350 made contact with an Endeavor Air CRJ-900 on an adjacent taxiway.
