Woman defends Taylor Swift 'with her life' after surgery: 'The way you tried to change [your dentist's] mind'

Swifties never surrender. At least such was the case for one Taylor Swift fan who went to bat for the musician — while high on anesthesia at the dentist’s office.

Swift and her ex-boyfriend, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, have become a hot topic once again. The singer re-recorded her album Red and released a 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” which fans lauded as one of her best. The track has long been rumored to be about Gyllenhaal, who dated a 20-year-old Swift when he was 29 in 2011. The actor has come under fire by fans for the large age gap also mentioned in the song. Now 40, Gyllenhaal is currently dating 25-year-old French model Jeanne Cadieu.

The controversy was exactly what was on one TikToker’s mind when she headed to the dentist’s office to get her wisdom teeth removed. The funny video racked up 3.6 million views.

“Me still defending Taylor Swift with my life after getting my wisdom teeth out,” @2co0l2juul wrote in the caption.

The TikToker appeared to be under the effects of anesthesia, which can cause people to say things they normally wouldn’t.

“Did we play Taylor Swift during that?” she asked the dentist.

“Absolutely not,” he responded.

“I can’t believe I let you perform on me,” she said.

The superfan quizzed her dentist about his allegiances. Did he like Gyllenhaal? No. But did he like Swift herself? No.

“I don’t like country music,” the dentist explained.

But the TikToker refused to let him work on her mouth. She played him a song to prove Swift wasn’t all country. Eventually, she gave him access to her mouth. Luckily, he was a good sport the whole time, laughing off her pointed comments.

“She was fighting for Taylor’s life,” a user wrote.

“The way you tried to change his mind,” another noted.

“He’s a walking red flag,” someone said.

Others accused the dentist of being “mean” or having an “attitude.”

“The doctor was really nice and joking around with me. And this was his only flaw,” the TikToker clarified in the comment section.
