Woman found dead in Woodlands flat, suspect arrested for murder
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after police discovered the body of a 41-year-old woman in a Woodlands flat on Thursday morning (17 January).
The police received a call requesting assistance at Woodlands Ave 6 at 1.34am. The woman was found lying motionless inside a room. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday. Both the victim and the suspect are known to each other.
Yahoo News Singapore understands that the man and the woman were a couple and are both Singaporeans. No weapons were found at the scene.
Police investigations are ongoing.
The man will be charged in court for murder on Friday.
