Woman standing on edge of railing at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station rescued by 2 individuals

On a fateful Sunday, two individuals sprang into action upon spotting a distressed woman in immediate peril.

A video making its rounds on social media depicted a tense moment when a woman stood perilously close to the edge of the parapet behind the railings at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station that very afternoon.

In an act of bravery, two men, one of whom is believed to be a train station employee while the other in his sixties, clung tightly to her arms, offering solace and support.

The outcome, as suggested by the video caption, ultimately proved triumphant.

When approached for comment on Monday by AsiaOne, the police disclosed that the 43-year-old woman, who had been conscious throughout the ordeal, was promptly transported to the hospital.

Subsequently, she was taken into custody under the Mental Health Act.

Lianhe Zaobao was informed by the Singapore Civil Defence Force that they received a distress call and successfully conveyed an individual to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
