The Working Capitol set to launch luxurious new co-working space in Singapore’s CBD

The co-working space will span about 5,110 square metres across 11 floors at 140 Robinson Road

About one and a half years ago, The Working Capitol (TWC)’s first co-working space was established in five refurbished shophouses spanning 33,000 sqft (3,066 sqm). Now, the success of its first venture has spurred TWC to dream a lot bigger: in 2017, its second co-working space will occupy 11 floors spanning 55,000 sqft (5,11o sqm) in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD) — 140 Robinson Road.

Similar to its Chinatown establishment, TWC’s second co-working space will be able to house businesses with up to 200 employees. In addition to the standard hotdesk, open-plan, and private office areas, companies can also opt to nest themselves in something a little more luxurious — duplex penthouses.

But what would really catch the fancy of the Instagram-obsessed millennial employee are its resort-like lifestyle amenities. These include a sky garden, 20-metre outdoor pool, a boutique gym, a bar and a member’s lounge; allowing employees to save on that plane ticket to Bali.

“All along, it’s been our vision to help democratise the working experience for companies of all sizes. Adding The
Working Capitol on Robinson to our network gives an even greater range of companies the chance to experience a
beautifully designed, dynamic work environment. We’re delivering on our desire to help large organisations have
greater access to startup mindsets, and to give smaller companies the resources they need to grow and thrive,” said Ben Gattie, Co-‐founder and CEO, The Working Capitol, in an official press statement.

Future residents of the new co-working space include a fintech lab by RHB Bank and an unnamed 100-person tech unicorn.
