This is the world’s most Instagrammable hotel

Anantara Kihavah has bagged the most Instagrammable hotel in the world title.

The 80-villa resort, located in the Maldives’ Baa Atoll archipelago and on the doorstep of Hanifaru Bay, topped the Luxury Travel Advisor magazine's poll, beating Insta-friendly hotels like Mandapa Ritz-Carlton in Bali, Indonesia as well as Mexico’s Hotel Matilda and Viceroy Los Cabos.

The hotel’s villas, ranging between 260 and 2,730 square metres, have the wow factor. We're talking private infinity pools overlooking the ocean and breath-taking views that would run down phone memory.

One of its main attractions is an underwater restaurant, SEA, where schools of tropical fish dart in and out of the surrounding corals and are reflected in the mosaic mirrored ceiling.

There is also the newly opened Sky Bar. Perched over the lagoon, this is the place to take in Indian Ocean sunsets.

Sitting on the Sky Bar roof deck is a custom-built Ash-dome observatory that is surrounded by nothing but open skies and ocean waves below. The hotel also provides stargazing sessions with the resident astronomer, and native Maldivian, Ali Shameem.
