Xie Xingfang will support Lin Dan despite scandal
21 Nov - Badminton champion Xie Xingfang will continue to support her husband, Lin Dan, despite his confession of extramarital affair with Chinese model-actress Zhao Yaqi.
As reported on Tencent, the 35-year-old Xie, who gave birth to their first baby earlier this month, recently published her own statement online, saying, "Our family will support the man who dares to admit his mistakes and is willing to change.
"Thank you to friends and fans for your concern. The family will sail through the storm together," she added.
News of Lin Dan's scandal made the news last week after photos and videos of him meeting Zhao at a hotel surfaced online. He soon came clean about the affair and apologised to his family for hurting them.
It was also rumoured that Xie was aware of Lin's affair, but decided to keep quiet about it.
