Singapore Post (SingPost) has been fined S$100,000 by Singapore’s InfoComm Media Development Authority (IMDA) for failing to meet service standards on delivering letters and registered mail in 2017. This is the national postal agency’s heaviest fine to date.
Anecdotally, Singapore residents have on occasion taken to social media to complain about their mail going undelivered for various reasons: One guy even confronted a postman about knocking on his door and running off before he could answer.
In another case, a postman was arrested after photos of letters in rubbish bin spread online.
