The WHO guidelines – no screen time for children aged one and young, and one hour a day for those aged two to five – is aimed at parents, giving them some recommendations on limiting screen time for their young kids.

The guidelines come after a recent study which found that “excessive screen time has been associated with various negative outcomes, including poorer academic performance” in children.
