In Parliament on Monday (10 September), several Members of Parliament raised the issue of curbing smoking in homes and suggested that more be done about it.

Citing complaints from residents about secondhand smoke from other units entering their homes, they also noted the accompanying health risks posed and the potential for conflict between neighbours as reasons for considering such restrictions.

Among the suggestions made were for smokers to ensure that their cigarette smoke is kept within their homes and for penalties to be imposed on those who fail to do so.

Do you think more restrictions should be imposed on people smoking in their own homes?
