Yahoo Poll: Do you think a university degree is essential in Singapore?

However, the costs of a uni education continues to soar, and the earnings potential of a fresh graduate depends on the course they choose.

According to Ministry of Manpower data cited by ValueChampion, the average diploma holder earns over S$4,000 a month. The median salary of a degree-holder, meanwhile, was said to be in excess of S$7,000 a month.
