Animal welfare organisations in Singapore have called for tighter rules on pet cremation services.

This follows the recent case of a dog that died after being checked into a controversial pet boarding facility and was reportedly cremated without its owner’s knowledge.

Among the proposed measures is the mandatory scanning of microchips in pets by service providers prior to cremation.

In light of the recent case, do you think there should be stricter guidelines imposed on the pet cremation industry? Have your say in our poll and leave us a comment below.
