Yam Ah Mee to star in his first musical

People's Association's (PA) chief executive director Yam Ah Mee, who unexpectedly shot to fame during the General Election in May, will make his stage debut at a Circle Line Discovery event on 2 October.

He will be performing alongside local television and stage personalities Chua En Lai, Irene Ang and Alaric Tay at the Circle Line Musical at Buona Vista station at 10am and 2pm.

The musical marks the opening of 12 new stations on the final stretch of the Circle Line before the line opens its doors to the public on 8 October.

There will be a full day of entertainment and activities at six stations on the Circle Line and a celebrity deejay will be hosting at each station. Members of the public can catch a free ride at any of the 12 stations from Caldecott to Harbourfront to visit all six stations on that day.

The six stations are: Botanic Gardens, Buona Vista, Holland Village, Kent Ridge, Telok Blangah and Harbourfront.

There will be no train services from Marymount and Caldecott MRT stations but a free shuttle service between the two stations will be available throughout the day from 10am to 6pm.
