"Grown-ish" star Yara Shahidi is temporarily going from being in front of the camera to the designer's chair. The 21-year-old and Adidas teamed up for a colorful collection that pays homage to her Black and Iranian heritage.

"This particular collection is not only an exploration of who I am — bringing together different aspects of my own heritage—but also an ode to a new generation of change makers who are continually reimagining their own identities, carving out space, and refusing to be silenced in the process," a portion of her statement read.

Mustard yellow is the primary color of the pieces, with 1960s inspired takes on the classic Adidas tracksuit. Elevated with Iranian inspired patterns, the unisex satin top and pants can be dressed up or down. No matter how you pull together the ensemble, the Yara Shahidi Superstar shoes are a must cop.

Details include a beige worn leather upper, with brown and yellow suede stripes and heel panels, metal lace jewels and a scalloped tongue. Upon closer review, a message on the insole of the shoe reads "yar," a derivation of Yara’s name meaning 'friend,' etched in gold foil on the upper.

There's a lot to love about this capsule and perfectly embodies Shahidi's effortless style both on camera and in real life. The Yara Shahidi collection is officially available to shop at Adidas and we linked all five items below.
