MALAYSIA – Malaysians seem to be looking for a beach or resort getaway when it comes to deciding where to go for their holidays, with such places emerging in the top five list of most searched travel destinations.

Here are the most searched travel destinations of 2019.

Hong Kong

2019 was an eventful year for Hong Kong as the country faced political unrest and turmoil. However, some travellers are taking advantage of the price drop as some hotels have slashed their prices up to 65%.

Attractions most known to travelers are Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park, Lantau Island and Victoria Peak, just to name a few.

Selangor

Selangor, also known by its Arabic honorific Darul Ehsan, or "Abode of Sincerity", is one of the 13 states of Malaysia. Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of Selangor.

Top attractions include Batu Caves, Sunway Lagoon and Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park and locals often take one-day trips here.

Kota Kinabalu
