Young people create art reflecting lockdown life
An online exhibition about lockdown life
has launched from a collaboration
between Arts Council England and Google Arts and Culture
'The Way I See It' features paintings, photographs, films, and poetry
by young people across England
reflecting on life under lockdown
(SOUNDBITE) (English) 16-YEAR-OLD YOUTH MEMBER OF THE ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA, MAYA, SAYING:
"I don't think what people realize is that they're being creative every day in their own lives already. Whether that's reading a book, or even on your phone, just consuming Netflix, listening to music on your way to work, you're always consuming the arts. And I think people should realize that more. And when they connect to it, they feel much happier and it really uplifts their mood. So I think if people realized that more and touched in (with) more of their creative outlets, it would really help us, yeah."
