YouTuber hilariously remixes Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa’s ‘One Kiss’
Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa released “One Kiss” over four years ago — 2018, to be exact. The song peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed on the chart for 21 weeks. Countless artists have remixed the song since its release, but this YouTuber’s personal spin has TikTok crying with laughter.
YouTuber @IShowSpeed (known online as Speed) was playing Just Dance on a live stream and trying to groove along with “One Kiss.” He was holding his own for nearly a minute before getting upset and kicking his streaming setup.
“To this day we still don’t know what possessed Speed to do this,” commented @dubstepchamp.
Speed currently has over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, and #speedmeme has nearly 27 million views. He’s known for his high-energy live streams and constant yelling.
The clip of him raging out is all over TikTok in several different formats.
Some people use it to show their anger at a specific situation.
Others are using it to show off their gym transformations.
Even some local government agencies are getting in on the trend.
“Enjoying driving on clear roads for the last few weeks,” wrote @washingtonstateDOT. Once the video switches to Speed getting upset, the video text reads, “Remembering winter isn’t over,” with a tweet about inclement weather in the background.
This isn’t the first time TikTok has fallen in love with a “One Kiss” remix. One of the more popular versions was of a man at a Liverpool soccer game singing along with the crowd.
This is a perfect two-part meme template, as Speed’s mood changes from bubbly to rage in an instant. Also, TikTok clearly loves this song and will listen to it in every form.
