ZALORA appoints Parker Gundersen as new Chief Executive Officer

Parker joins ZALORA from DFS Group, the travel retail subsidiary of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton

Online fashion retailer ZALORA is announcing the appointment of Parker Gundersen as Chief Executive Officer. Parker joins ZALORA from DFS Group, the travel retail subsidiary of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

Parker holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Management degree from the University of St. Thomas and has an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Parker brings over 15 years of relevant retail and leadership experience working in key management positions across Asia, the Middle East and North America.

Early in his career at DFS, Parker was responsible for leading a number of high profile projects for the company, including establishing DFS’ footprint in the Middle East and developing the company’s operations in India.

From 2011-2015, Parker served as General Manager for DFS Singapore, and most recently held the position of Vice President for DFS North America, overseeing the company’s operations and business development function in the region. Prior to DFS, Parker worked in management consulting in the Strategy & Operations practice at Deloitte Consulting.

His experience in retail across Asia and his strong leadership skills will be instrumental in strengthening ZALORA’s leadership in Southeast Asia’s e-fashion space,” said Romain Voog, CEO of Global Fashion Group, in a press statement.

Founded in 2012, ZALORA has a presence in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The company is part of Global Fashion Group, a global online fashion company for emerging markets.
