Ukraine wants the war to end as soon as possible, but fairly, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a briefing in Belgium on May 28.

"First of all, if we want justice – and Ukraine, as a democratic state, demands this from the decentralized world – then Ukraine must win," the head of state said.

“But I want it without loud statements. It is difficult to win with weapons alone. We need to know that Ukraine wants the war to end as soon as possible, but fairly.”

That is why weapons are needed "so that we are not destroyed to the ground, so that we are not occupied."

"Russia has wanted this since the beginning of the full-scale aggression," Zelenskyy added.

“We need to fight back against this evil. Today we see that Russia is not alone: there is an open supply of weapons from Iran, not only drones but also missiles. Weapons, artillery and missiles are being supplied by North Korea.”

The president noted that "there are some things that we do not talk about publicly, but we see these supplies."

"We see it from our intelligence and we do not speak until we have 100% of the facts about the supply from one state or another to the Russian evil," he said.

“In parallel with this, we must follow a diplomatic path so that the war does not go on for decades. We have proposed a diplomatic way – a peace summit.”
