Zelenskyy to meet Macron during official Paris visit – Key highlights

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron are set to meet in Paris after taking part in commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy on June 7, Le Monde reported, citing the Élysée Palace.

Zelenskyy is also scheduled to meet with French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu. They will tour the KNDS defense group factory near Paris, which manufactures artillery ammunition used in Ukraine.

KNDS is the joint holding company formed by German family-controlled defence company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and the French government-owned weapons manufacturer Nexter, two of the leading European manufacturers of military land systems.

President Zelenskyy will also deliver a speech at the French National Assembly and hold talks with its President Yaël Braun-Pivet, who visited Ukraine in March.
