Zhang Ziyi is promotional ambassador again
2 Jun – Fresh from her jury duty at the 66th Cannes Film Festival, it was revealed that mainland actress Zhang Ziyi has been appointed as the promotional ambassador for another kind of movie award.
According to Groove Asia, at a press conference held in Quanzhou on 29 May, the "Dangerous Liaisons" actress was announced to be the ambassador for the 13th Chinese Film Media Award yet again.
Ziyi, who won CFMA's Best Actress for "Purple Butterfly" in 2004, has already been appointed as the awards' ambassador in Haikou last year.
Meanwhile, for the awards, this year's nominations include Tony Leung Kar-fai "Cold War" battling Nick Cheung's performance in "Nightfall" and Zhang Fengyi ("White Deer") for the Best Actor award, while Gwai Lun-mei of "GF*BF" will be competing against "Mystery" actress, Hao Lei to win Best Actress.
