Whether you're tanning at the beach or hiking up a mountain trail, picnicking in the park or lounging in the pool, there are plenty of Bluetooth speakers to help enjoy the tunes stockpiled in your computer or smartphone. Here is a selection of five that you can take with you this summer.

The latest generation of Beats Pill portable speakers weighs only 310g, making it one of the lightest on the market and extremely easy to carry around. The speaker itself only has two buttons, to control volume, because everything else is controlled from the Bluetooth connected device housing the music. The distance for this device from the speaker can extend up to 9 meters, or nearly 30 feet.
