1. The price of simple pleasures: The most expensive coffee shop ever sold in Singapore is Yong Xing Coffee Shop in Block 155, Bukit Batok Street 11. It was sold to a new company called EH 155 for $31 million last month.
It beat the previous record set in 2013, for Coffee Express 2000 coffee shop in Hougang Avenue 4, which sold for $23.8 million.
Let’s hope EH 155 sells a lot of coffee!

2. Glitz and glam: The sale of the penthouse in this building made the 26 year-old property agent Shirley Seng a commission of about $1.5 million. The Le Nouvel Ardmore penthouse went for $51 million in April - bought by the co-founder of Alibaba, Sun Tongyu.

3. Compact life: In 2012 someone paid a million dollars for a 1,615 sq ft 17-year old flat on Mei Ling Street in Queenstown.

4. Plenty of space: This bungalow on 24 Rideout road sits on 3,130 sq m of land and sold for $35 million in 2014.

5. Home by the water: A Chinese national is believed to have set the record price for a bungalow at Sentosa Cove, forking out a handsome $36 million, which is $2,403 per sq ft (psf) in 2010.
