75-year-old among 14 men charged for sex with underaged girl

The men, 14 in total, were aged between 22 and 75 years old.
The trysts took place mostly in budget hotels in the Geylang area in May. They paid between S$40 and S$150 for the girl's sexual services.
The girl, who was 17 at the time, cannot be named.
The 75-year-old male was charged with two counts of having sex with the said escort at the BudgetOne Hotel in Geylang. On both occasions, he paid $70.
The second oldest in the group was a 72-year-old man who paid S$150 for the sexual services of the girl, also at the BudgetOne hotel.
Of the 14 men that were charged on Wednesday, 10 are expected to plead guilty.
More men are expected to be charged at a later date. If found guilty, the men could be jailed seven years and fined.
In 2012, prominent green activist and the scion of the Shaw family, Howard Shaw, was among 48 men charged with paying for sex with an underaged escort in an online vice ring scandal.
