Hidden tricks for new (and old) Android phones

One tip to prevent the hassle of swiping your phone to unlock it before you fumble through your apps looking for the camera is to press your finger onto the centre of the locked screen and then rotate the phone 90 degrees while still holding to the centre of the screen. And boom, the camera is launched.

Those with older models can use an app like “Widget Locker” to launch the camera straight onto the screen. Who says you can’t teach the old Android new tricks?
