Adding to the mystery, The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. investigators suspect the plane flew on for four hours once it lost contact with air traffic controllers.

American investigators suspect that Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 stayed in the air for about four hours past the time it reached its last confirmed location, the Wall Street Journal reported today.

The business paper said this raised the possibility that the Boeing 777-200ER jet could have flown on for hundreds of additional kilometres under conditions that remain murky.

Two weeks ago, someone had lodged a police report alleging this man to be the reckless cyclist featured on citizen journalism site Stomp.

“Yes, yes, I know we all look the same,” moans Sandy. “But look at him, he’s got a different smile, he’s lighter in skin and he’s got a different bike”. It was clearly a different person. Sandy adds he always rides with a helmet camera.

Yet he remained on police records a “suspect” until only a couple of days ago. He won’t get an apology from the person who ratted on him, because whistle-blower details are confidential.

The driver is in custody after the incident at South By Southwest festival in the state capital Austin.

An Indian guru declared dead has been in a deep freezer in his ashram for nearly six weeks with followers confident he will return to life to lead them, his spokesman said.

Devotees placed Ashutosh Maharaj, whom authorities declared clinically dead on January 29, in the freezer and have been watching over his body in the sprawling ashram in a small town in northern Punjab state.
