Christine Kuo denies weight issue causes demotion

5 Apr – Christine Kuo, who will be playing the antagonist in her upcoming series, "EU: Overtime Mission", has dismissed reports saying that she has been demoted to supporting roles because of her hypothyroid issue.

As reported on On CC News, the actress, who attended the costume session for the upcoming series in TVB City recently, stated that she has never paid attention to such reports.

"It's not a good thing to read something negative about yourself. As Stephen Chow once said, every character is significant to the story," she said.

Christine also stressed that she is happy about Tracy Chu's promotion as a lead actress, saying that the former beauty queen suits the character well.

When asked about her current weight status, the actress replied, "Rather than worrying about my weight, I hope people will consider my feelings as well. For now, my thyroid function is normal."

As for her role, Christine said that she is happy to play an antagonist for the first time, and that she is ready to accept the challenge.
