More than two-thirds of Facebook users consult the network by mobile

Facebook counted 1.06 billion active users in December 2012, which represents a 25 percent year-on-year rise, with 680 million users consulting the site from a mobile device, according to the Q4 2012 results released Thursday.

Each day some 618 million users connect to Facebook, an increase of 28 percent compared to the number of active daily users in the previous year.
