Nick Cheung says no to "Unbeatable 2"

6 Aug – He may have won a Best Actor award at the Shanghai International Film festival for his role in "Unbeatable", but Nick Cheung is not interested to participate in a sequel for the movie, should there be one.

As reported on Singtao, the actor, who surprised many with his six pack abs in the Dante Lam movie, is determined not to bulk up again for any movie.

"I will not do it, not even for HKD 100 million! My body can't really handle it," he stated.

Recalling the strenuous training process, Nick, who plays a mixed martial arts fighter in the movie, stated, "The film was 20,000 times harder than "Nightfall". The latter had limited action, but the subject matter in "Unbeatable" is solely on training, fighting and overcoming obstacles. Eddie [Peng] and I had to train like real fighters. It was really tough."

Meanwhile, Eddie also shared that the two of them were so happy when the movie concluded and that they have been eating non-stop ever since, and joked, "I brushed my teeth with ice creams and rinse it with milkshakes!"

Nick admitted that he already succumbed when they were shooting in Macau, and shared, "I went to a hot pot casserole shop in the middle of the night, and ordered a plain soup base and two bowls of beef. I would have eaten a living cow if it walked by that night!"

Nick added that Dante did mention about a sequel, but he immediately said no and asked the director to find someone else.
