Park Gyu-ri's vocal cord surgery complete

24 Feb – It was reported that KARA's Park Gyu-ri has successfully completed her vocal cord surgery.

As reported on Allkpop website, Gyu-ri assured her fans and updated her Twitter account saying, "The surgery went well. I shall recover quickly and try to give you a good voice to listen to. Thank you so much for your concern".

In November 2011, the singer was diagnosed with vocal problems and was advised by doctors to undergo immediate surgery. However, Gyu-ri continued through her scheduled musical appearances for "200 Pounds Beauty" in South Korea and Japan, as well as other activities abroad as a promise to fans not to cancel any performances.

Immediately after their first concert in South Korea last weekend, DSP Media announced that Gyu-ri will undergo surgery to treat the nodules and polyps in her vocal cords.

After the surgery, the singer will undergo full rehabilitation and will join KARA as they continue their tour in Japan this April.
