Salvatore Ferragamo to launch 'Walking Stories'

The Italian fashion brand has created a new short film by "I am Love" director Luca Guadagnino.

"Søren Kierkegaard said that we should 'trust fate' and if it is my destiny to love someone, I'll meet them anywhere, even if I have to walk."

The latest project from Salvatore Ferragamo is an eight-part short feature titled "Walking Stories" and starring Kaya Scodelario, Tom Ellis, Billy Magnussen, Nathalie Buscombe and Lee Roy Kunze, as well as Lauren Hutton.

Former "Skins" star Scodelario, who also appeared in Andrea Arnold's 2011 adaptation of "Wuthering Heights," plays the lead as young illustrator and globetrotter Sara Campbell, who travels across the world as part of a stylish and surreal love story. Screen legend and former fashion model Lauren Hutton also appears as 'Aunt Ruthie'.

The action unrolls in Los Angeles, Shanghai and Florence, which represent three key times and places for the brand: Ferragamo's days making glamorous shoes for Hollywood stars, the company's new growth in bustling Asian markets, and the label's home in the ancient Tuscan city.

The director, who created the stunning "I am Love" in 2009 with Tilda Swinton, is an old hand when it comes to fashion films and has previously collaborated with Giorgio Armani and shoe brand Sergio Rossi.

The first episode will be available to watch on the Salvatore Ferragamo site from Tuesday.
