Shu Qi doubly exhausted!

2 Jan – Taiwanese-born screen siren, Shu Qi, is currently filming her new thriller, "Ching Mai", which has been kept highly under wraps since its production began all this while, has now revealed that the actress will be playing a dual role as twins, according to Groove Asia.

In addition, the company behind the Gordon Chan Ka Seung production has revealed that the movie had already passed inspection by the censors and would be having its nationwide release in March 2012.

Directed by Carol Lai Miu Shuet, "Ching Mai" sees twin sisters Wai Heung and Wai Bo's, played by Shu Qi, relationships with stage actor Fong Yik Nan, played by Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue. This led the sisters to turn against each other and put a stop to the other's relationship.

However, it is highly exhausting for 35-year-old Shu Qi to play two characters with different personalities and mannerisms. It did not help that during the shoot the sister roles were repeatedly exchanged and Shu Qi became neurotic due to the excessive burden of adjustment.

The actress drove herself mad until the whole crew grew afraid of her, as she became less friendly and more aggressive.

""Ching Mai" exhausted me physically and mentally. I need sufficient time to rest in order to recover," said Shu Qi.

"Ching Mai" will feature explicit sex scenes as the film themes play on the moral boundary that lies between the temptation of love and lust.

Chan Ka Seung opined, "Shu Qi's breakthrough performance in this film would hopefully win her another Best Actress award."
