Tanglin Secondary student, 16, collapses and dies after PE lesson

A 16-year-old student from Tanglin secondary school collapsed and died after a physical education class on Monday morning.

According to Chinese daily Shin Min Daily, the student had been jogging during the PE lesson when he collapsed.

He was rushed to the National University Hospital from his school in Clementi but was pronounced dead at 10 am.

Police confirmed they received a call at 8.27am and dispatched officers to the scene at 301 West Coast Road.

His father told the Chinese daily that his son looked fine the morning of incident.
