Singer Justin Timberlake has been the talk of Twitter on Thursday, January 10, after not releasing a single. 

On Thursday rumors began to circulate about the release of a new Justin Timberlake single featuring Beyoncé and Jay-Z. These rumors came via an American radio station, Florida's Radio Now 97.9, and were fueled by Timberlake himself, who hinted at a big announcement, tweeting, "Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST...."

As fans of the singer flocked to Twitter and the time arrived, it was revealed that the big announcement was not a single or an album, but instead the website countdown.justintimberlake.com. The countdown currently stands at over three days, leaving fans what will happen next and causing "JT2013" to trend on Twitter. 

Elsewhere on Twitter fans of Demi Lovato are showing their appreciation via a trending topic, as are supporters of Avril Lavigne in Brazil.
