Love travel? Love music? Combine the two and get to a music festival in a unique location with a quirky vibe this year. Here’s 10 awesome music festival around the world for your consideration that aren’t SXSW, Coachella, or Glastonbury.

Governor’s Ball - USA - 3rd - 5th June

This smaller US festival is so cool, it might be too cool for school, but another great line up this year including The Strokes, The Killers, Beck, Haim, De La Soul, Jamie XX, Eagles of Death Metal and more gets all the hip kids to Randall’s Island, NYC.

Meadows in the Mountains - Bulgaria - 10th - 13th June

Set in the gorgeous Rhodopes Mountains of Bulgaria, listen to great DJs, stay in traditional Bulgarian mountain huts, and enjoy the beach party.

Latitude - UK - 14th - 17th July

Located in the greenery of Suffolk, Latitude might just be Glastonbury’s cooler cousin. It’s a big festival but it’s eco-friendly and family friendly with a kids and inbetweeners area. Music lovers can catch Of Monsters and Men, The Maccabees, The National and New Order.

Electric Castle Festival - Romania - 14th - 17th July

Secret Garden Party - UK - 21st - 24th July

Big but still boutique, each year there is a theme which all festival goers get into and dress up for. This year the theme for the festival set in the English countryside is Gardeners Guide to the Galaxy. Anyone for Caribou, Air and Primal Scream on the same line-up?

Fuji Rock Festival - Japan - 22nd - 24th July

10 stages in the forests of Naeba Ski Resort host world class bands, a festival area so spacious that you can ride the Dragondola cable car to reach two more stages and get a great view of the festival.

Soundwave Festival - Croatia - 4th - 8th August

Set on a beach front in Tisno, Soundwave is a great summer festival to go to. Don’t forget about the numerous party boats and after-parties playing all sorts from hip hop, to acid jazz, to soul, to reggae.

Sziget - Hungary - 10th - 17th August

It’s one of the biggest festivals in Europe and held in Budapest, but there is still a great sense of freedom at this festival that was originally a low-profile student event. Set on a leafy 266 acre island on the Danube river you may never have felt so free along with 400,000 other revelers on the island.

Outlook Festival - Croatia - 1st - 4th September

Party in a Roman amphitheater to underground dance music, or on boats, and experience some amazing sound systems.

Bestival - UK - 8th - 11th September
