Next week on Neighbours, Krista Sinclair makes her return with a shock for Paul Robinson.
Elsewhere, David Tanaka's marriage could be heading for more trouble, and Toadie Rebecchi faces more awkwardness with his ex-wife Melanie Pearson.
Here's a look at the 10 biggest moments hitting our screens.
1. Nell's birthday celebrations spark problems
Nell celebrates her 15th birthday, and there's relief for Terese when her stepdaughter loves the custom T-shirt she ordered for her.
The venue for Nell's party has to change at the last minute when a power cut hits Ramsay Street. This causes unexpected contact – and more possible awkwardness – between Toadie, Terese and Melanie.
2. David is left surprised by Krista
David is concerned when he learns that Krista has checked herself out of rehab after little more than a week. He speculates that Krista made an early exit because she wants to attend her father's funeral in the US.
David wonders what state Krista will be in when he prepares to meet her for a catch-up, but her appearance takes him by surprise.
3. Krista makes an announcement
Krista causes a stir when she announces that she'll be taking Reece's place as the Sinclair Corporation's official representative at Lassiters. Paul is furious as he faces the prospect of further scrutiny from the hotel's investors.
David is pleasantly surprised by how well Krista seems to be doing, but he and Leo become worried when she almost faints and the cracks start to show.
4. Chloe and Elly hear some home truths
Following their engagement, Elly and Chloe find themselves going along with Paul's plans for their future.
Cara realises that the couple aren't happy with the way things are heading, so she gives them some frank advice on how to handle the situation.
5. Holly's sabotage causes chaos at the share house
Holly jealously destroys a scarf that Mackenzie bought for Haz as a Christmas present. Trevor the dog gets the blame, but Holly considers coming clean after a heart-to-heart with Byron about her childish act.
Before Holly gets the chance to 'fess up, Haz checks footage recorded by his dog-cam and realises that she was the culprit rather than Trevor.
As Holly faces a backlash for her behaviour, she points out that the group have been keeping secrets from her after Mackenzie recently confessed her feelings for Haz. Put on the spot, Haz struggles to explain his mixed signals.
6. Byron considers returning to escorting
Byron is shocked when a former client called Tamara gets in touch, offering him the chance to resume his male escorting career by accompanying her on a trip to Tahiti.
Byron agrees, but Nicolette is concerned and intervenes by asking Tamara to withdraw her offer. Byron is furious over his sister's meddling, but she sticks to her guns by insisting that she's acting in his best interests.
7. Eden contacts Krista
As Paul continues to oppose Krista, tactful Leo encourages him to give her a chance – especially as David is her new sober companion.
Krista tries her best to stay focused on her first day in the job, but she receives a shock when she learns that dangerous Eden is demanding that she visit him in jail.
8. Jane and Terese unite
After days of planning how to merge the school and the new retirement experience, Jane and Terese give their pitch to the Erinsborough Council. Jane worries about being too nervous in the meeting, but Terese ends up being the one who needs help with anxiety.
The two friends are left feeling hopeful when they manage to win over the council.
9. Terese faces another problem
Terese and Jane celebrate when their project is officially approved.
It turns out that one particular councillor was strongly in favour of the proposal, but this person ends up having a mysterious link to Paul. This threatens to cause another problem for Terese.
10. Aaron betrays David
Paul feels sorry for himself as he's facing a lonely Christmas after losing Terese and being rejected by David.
Aaron is sympathetic and secretly takes Isla to visit Paul on Christmas Eve, but he later feels guilty for doing so without David's knowledge. Could this cause another rift between the couple?
