A 15-year-old boy has died after two ATVs collided on Route 11 in Beresford, N.B., just outside Bathurst.

RCMP were called to the scene Friday around 10:20 p.m.

The dead teen was riding on one of the ATVs that was driven by another 15-year-old boy. Police say the driver is scheduled to appear in court in September but had no details about charges.

The second ATV was also driven by a 15-year-old boy, who was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they are continuing to investigate.
