Chatham-Kent police have arrested two youth after what they describe as a fight involving about 50 people over the weekend.

Officers received the report around 8:10 p.m. Saturday about a large altercation in Tecumseh Park "possibly involving prohibited weapons" after receiving multiple complaints.

Police say descriptions of two individuals reportedly involved were provided to officers and both located on Wellington Street.

A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance, while a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Both were released to their parents with future court dates.

Police say an aerosol weapon identified as mace was recovered at the scene. No injuries were reported.
