32-year-old woman dead after Clarenville crash

A 32-year-old woman is dead and a 32-year-old man was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash in Clarenville early Sunday morning.

The RCMP were called about the crash just after 1 a.m. Officers arrived on Balbo Drive to find a vehicle upside down in the ditch. The man was found outside the car, while the woman was found underneath it.

A media release from the police says the incident is under investigation and the province's chief medical examiner is involved.

The man was sent to the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
