One person was killed and three others injured in what police are calling a targeted shooting inside a Woodbridge home Friday morning.

York police Const. Lisa Moskaluk says the service received multiple calls about the sound of gunfire at the residence on Casa Nova Drive just before 9 a.m.

Responding officers found four people suffering from gunshot wounds. One of those people was pronounced dead inside the home, while the three others were taken to hospital.

During a brief news conference at the scene, Moskaluk was unable to comment on the condition of the three surviving victims.

She also did not have any information about the names, ages or genders of any of the victims, or the nature of their relationship to each other.

Moskaluk said there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

"Early indications are that his incident is targeted and isolated," she told reporters.

The suspect or suspects are still at large. Moskaluk did not immediately have any descriptions.

Anyone with information, or relevant home security or dashcam video, is asked to contact York police or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
